New Editions - Maps

New editions of the following maps have just been released and are now in stock:

Site Performance

We have seen the need to go one step further in delivering superior performance to our site users and advertisers and have just finalised a server migration (although we continue to use the same Australian web-hosting provider).

This just means that the site is running the best it possibly can and has the best possible service technician's monitoring and maintaining it. We are confident that you'll find the entire site is purring along.

New Article - Battery Power

If you haven't yet setup a dual battery system in your 4WD then perhaps you'd better read this new useful article. We look at some typical current draw of accessories, discuss types of batteries and what's best for travellers, the role of isolators and battery monitors, and we give you some useful tips for DIY wiring.

The Great Outback Clean Up Auction has begun!

Are you interested in being part of The Great Outback Clean Up? This Event is designed purely for 4WD vehicles to clean up outback tracks and campsites but will also serve to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Cleanup Australia and the Australian Outback Development Consortium by gathering funds via Auction. The event consists of 19 pre-defined tracks and only the top 20 bids received via Auction per track will secure a place on the event.

Click to Enter Auction

Auction: 18 February - 30 June 2006

Please visit the newly updated event page to read all rules and view the list of tracks. Interested participants can then enter a bid for a selected track and the system will display the current top 20 bids. (Places will not be allocated and money will not transacted until the Auction closes). Why not get the ball rolling and enter a bid now in the early days and have some fun?

The Auction system will allow you to edit your bids and will alert you if you are out-bid. Individuals, companies and organisations may enter and ExplorOz will even allow your company website to be hyperlinked from the Bid Rank.
