This trek offers the visitor some moderate four-wheel driving and picturesque
camping sites beside the Abercrombie River and Silent Creek. Visitors may be lucky enough to spot platypuses and
activities include swimming, canoeing and trout fishing.

Notice the new format?
Although this is a work in progress, we are quickly converting existing treks so all will appear as per the new featured Trek above. You'll see that a new Interactive Map & Route that actually “drives” the route file on your screen and shows photos and details of each waypoint. Being automatically extracted from real plot files and fully integrated with Places, this means that ExplorOz Trek Notes are now an online experience where you become the desk-chair passenger. You can even take the wheel and change the controls. We’ve been a bit sneaky and launched this new-format before its been fully finished so forgive us if a few details you are used to seeing in Trek Notes are currently missing – its “under construction”. For the more technical, the new trek notes are in .aspx format. More to come…
