Camp grounds on the Barcoo River,
Isisford include the Oma Waterhole, the Weir, and the Council-owned Camping area. Camping as at September 2013 is $3:00 per night (or $15 per week) per vehicle - payable at the Council Offices. Potable water, well-maintained toilets and a dump point is located at the entry to the Camping area. Further toilets and hot (solar) and cold showers are in
Isisford Park close to the Council building.
Oma Waterhole seems to be well known as a clean and large camping area for those with Camper Trailers and Caravans. Located just out of the lovely township of
Isisford, the grounds boast a large
camp kitchen area, potable water, adequate toilet facilities and hot (solar) and cold showers, although it can be a long walk if one chooses a site some distance away. Cattle can graze day and night, if you here something going bump in the night!
