Description

From Hyden Norseman Road to Southern Cross. This track is mostly a very good dirt track from the Hyden Norseman Road to Southern Cross via Mount Day, Holland Track and Marvel Loch. There is a straight of 87 kilometres which is the highlight of the track.

The start was the Mount Day Road a few kilometres from Emily Ann mine turn-off.
This will join later the main straight. A good track, later becomes confusing around a creek crossing but is found again easily enough. It joins the main track which is a very good track. This was the worst part of the track over with.

Mostly sandy to start with, it is a pleasant through the plains, which are not disimilar to the plain of the Nullabore. There are many tracks deviating from the main which are worth of exploration, as they seem to meander across the minor undulations into the far distance.

After the intersection of the Holland Track it is a mixture of sandy white soil and the red dirt Woodlands. The track is very good all the way and is a very enjoyable trip.

Into Marvel Loch and then to Great Eastern Highway, at Southern Cross.
