How to Earn Tickets

There are a total of 8 different areas of the site where your interaction will be rewarded with tickets to the Mega Draw. Some activities earn one ticket, and others will earn bonus tickets. And with Members Double-Up, Members automatically collect double the stated ticket allocations. Remember, as prizes are drawn randomly, the more tickets you collect the better your chances of winning prizes.

Places

There are 4 opportunities within the Places section for earning tickets; Creating a New Place (earn 2 tickets), Uploading photos (earn 1 ticket per photo), Entering a Description (earn 1 ticket), and Have your Say (earn 1 ticket). Click for: Places

PlotSwap

Load a new plot into the database and receive a massive 10 tickets per valid file loaded, you will also receive the standard PointPlace Credits. Click for: PlotSwap

Interactive Road Condition Updates

Simply navigate to the section listing for the track you wish to update and click "Interactive Feedback" to enter your comments based on recent travel. For every interactive road condition update, you will earn one ticket to the Mega Draw. Click for: Road Conditions Index

Fuel Price Update

This is an easy way to earn lots of tickets - simply keep a note book handy whilst you are driving and then enter the price updates when you get back to your computer. For every new location or price update you perform, you will earn one ticket to the Mega Draw. Click for: National Fuel Prices

New Visitor Registration

With the added bonus of earning 3 tickets to the Mega Draw, now is the time to turn your anonymous profile into a registered one. Only valid for registrations that include the default for subscribing to our e-newsletter. Click for: New Visitor Registration

Become a Member

The purchase of new Membership will earn 10 bonus tickets to the Mega Draw. Existing Members renewing their Membership for another year ($30) will earn 5 bonus tickets. And don't forget Members Double-up, which means that all Members are automatically allocated double the stated ticket allocation so Members performing lots of ticket-earning activities have the best chance of winning prizes so now's the perfect time to join up. At the end of every article we provide a Feedback box for readers to make a comment, or raise a question about issues raised in the article. Competition Has Ended

The ExplorOz Mega Draw has now ended and we wish to thank everyone who participated. The three major prizes were drawn out of a total of 17,884 tickets on the final day of the competition which was Friday 18th January, 2008 at 4.00pm.

The MegaDraw was conducted over a 12 week period between 26th October, 2007 to 17th January, 2008. Each week during the period of the competition, there was a random draw from the weekly prize pool and some weeks there were more than one prize allocated. Winners were announced fortnightly in the ExplorOz e-newsletter.

Mega Draw Third Prize - Monster Map Pack
This prize pack consists of 20 paper maps, 1 DVD of 30 raster map images and 2 atlases/guide books. All titles are published by Hema Maps Pty Ltd., and is worth $396.90.

Mega Draw Weekly Prizes
During each week of the Mega Draw, a random selection from all ticket entries will result in prizes being drawn from the minor prize pool.
