Navara Drawers
Submitted: Friday, Aug 07, 2009 at 17:15
Finally got around to start the
drawers in the navara.I'm happy with the way they turned out, things are a lot more organised now. Here are some pics from each stage of the build up,cheers.

square tube frame with the plastic connectors

tubing

uprights in

connectors

rubber under tube

plywood top on

front of drawer frame

underneath

1 st draw made

carpet top on

draw front

HD wheels under rear of draw end ( load rated to 25 kg each)

threaded rod to bolt wheels on with angle iron for strength

2 draws in

looking good

side by side

getting closer :-)

patio bolts for locks.......great value at $ 10 each

flat aluminium for wear rails on top

sides and ends covered up for neatness

end up against head board

all done with SOME of the stuff to go in
I solved the problem with the front of the
drawers bouncing up and down by screwing a couple of rubber door stops to the underside of the
drawers.when you push the
drawers all the way closed, they wedge themselves underneath the door stops and don't move.
Total time for build...about 3 days. :-)
