Got a phone call from Ben at Widetread to say the fifth tyre is in. They only had four when I raced in there to get tyres before the ARB excursion but that was okay for getting the shocks replaced. Had great service from them - easy, pleasant and fast.

Happy to choose the ATs again. I did look around and talk to folk about tyres as a new purchase is always and opportunity to review past decisions or find something new. Not this time - this is the third set I've bought and they have been very good.

I need to problem-solve the how to carry the spare wheel now that the tyre is so much wider than the original townie tyre. Any ideas about how to make the spare safe on the rear door mounting by packing out the bolts somehow? To be honest, I haven't looked at it yet but will tomorrow.
