The Coastal Life, sth of Coral Bay.

After The pleasant surrounds of Coral Bay,we headed, Sth until we hit the Surfingcity of Kalbarri. We settled into the Murchison Van pk for 2 nights, where the sites were very private and shady, and the atmosphere very relaxing. We took a short stroll down to the Kalbarri motor hotel, where the food was just divine. Jodie had the seafood basket, and I had the reef and beef, half a lobster resting on top of the biggest T-bone I've seen for ages!
On our second day in Kalbarri, a couple that we met in the van park in Marble bar, took us out for a drive and showed us the local haunts of the town. After Kalbarri, it was a turn to the East and we headed inland to a large farm near Coorow. The farm is owned by the same people who own the station that we worked at for 4 mths, up in the Pilbara Sth of Marble Bar. We spent 2 nights there, and gave the guys a hand to get another one of the mustering buggies at their farm ready for some action. After Coorow, it was Sth to Gingin, where we had some lunch, then continued onto Yanchep, where we spent the night with and old friend whom I hadn't seen for 23 years, Max Garth. Max was one of the leading men in this country that introduced Saltwater Flyfishing to many Australians. From Yanchep, it was on to Perth, where we spent a morning at the Botanical gardens, then out to spend a night at another one of the station owners properties that was close by.
Finally we had to get on our way again, and we called in to see an old workmate of Jodie's in Mandurah, and it was great to catch up with Clare and her husband Shane. We did 2 nights at their house and shane took us on a tour of some of the great areas that surround their suburb. After leaving Mandurah, we followed the coast ,travelling thru Bunbury, Bussleton and finally ended up where we are now at Margaret River. We spent today doing the wineries (hiccup),and in the morning we will spend the day travelling towards Albany. This part of WA's coast has been very exicting and is just a terrific part of Australia.
