I had intended to visit Karijini again, after I spent not-quite a full day there in 2008. I was impressed, and had vowed to return which I did at the end of March 2009.

After I arrived I camped at Dales camping area for one night. The next three nights I stayed at Karijini Eco Retreat where I stayed in a permanent tent with ensuite. The camping area at Dales was $6.50 per night and the retreat was $149 per night.

I would have taken more photos but saturated my camera in the water of Weano Gorge. It was just luck that my video camera survived. Some areas of the gorges were quite difficult and required good foot placement to ensure forward travel.

The tent at the retreat was great, so bare of the normal things you would expect, but certainly adequate for my needs. The wall of the shower only came up to my shoulder but the nearest neighbour was a good 25 metres away...

I was very happy to see most of the attractions and would probably have needed 6 nights if I wanted too see all of the common attractions in the park.

There are many things to see in the National Park but the gorges and waterfalls are the most popular. I saw most of the sites including Dales Gorge, Weano Gorge, Joffre Falls, Kalamina Falls, Knox Gorge and I climbed Mount Bruce, the second highest mountain in WA.

I put this video together (above) as well which was close to being destroyed in the water of Weano and here is a link that leads to the PDF File of the pamphlet that is available at the park.
