Hillarys Triathlon 1 08/09 Season

Another weekend another event. This weekend was the HIllarys Triathlon and being local i.e. down the road from home, means that it is a must do. So I entered and whilst I was at the entry system I jumped into the TriEvents WA state series being 5 races (Hillarys is hosting race 1 & 5).

This race a 500m Swim, 21km Bike and 5km Run was more back into the sprint type racing and solo racing that I seem to be starting to enjoy more. Being a mear 41 means that I race in the 40-44 category.

I still wish I could run better! Anyway next weekend on Saturday I head down to Donnybrook for the Donnybrook Marathon in which I will be taking part in a team event. Their is a discussion about whether I swim the 1.4km or do the Mountain Bike 22km, anyway that is another blog entry.
