A few pictures from the trip July - August 2008

It's trying very hard to rain here at the moment - thunderstorms with a bit of rain but nothing really positive.
Thought that I'd post a few pic's from the recent 6 week trip out into the Centre. All together we took nearly 1300 digital pic's and about 100 on film so I won't bare anyone with so many.
The pic's are:
A wedgetailed eagle who did not want to leave a tree not far out of
InnaminckaA really "upset" bull camel who we found with his harem along the Ernest Giles Road
A very brave little insect wandering about on the top of
Big Red near
BirdsvilleA trio of Australian Bustards (spelt correctly thank you) along the Lansborough H'way in Qld and lastly
A view of
Rainbow Valley near
Alice Springs with a lovely Desert Oak tree in the foreground.
The last pic sort of tells it all for me in the Centre - red sand, colours everywhere and the inevitable Desert Oak
Cheers

I don't wanna move from here

G'day - what you doin' up here
