Become a Member of ExplorOz and you’ll enjoy enhanced usage of the website with access to various tools in each section of the site that are unavailable to those with free registration. Membership is available in two options - Personal, and Business.

 Membership Options

When you register as a Member on ExplorOz, we offer you the choice of two styles of Profile. Membership provides you with numerous interactive facilities and extra features that include Rig Pics, Photo Galleries, Blogs, Member Messaging and much more. You can setup your Member Profile with your real name, your business name, or an anonymous screen-name. The choice is yours to use these features and embrace our online community in any way you wish. Simply choose the option that best fits your needs.

Personal Membership

This option is designed for individuals who want a personal profile. There are two choices for this level of membership being annual or lifetime. Annual first year of Membership is $60, renewal $40, Lifetime is $300. For further details of each option, see Member Benefits.

Become a Personal Member of ExplorOz and you’ll enjoy 12 months of enhanced usage of the website via a Member Profile with access to various tools in each section of the site that are unavailable to those with free registration. We'll activate your Member Profile online and you'll get an email with your Member Number and Password.
Membership Personal - Lifetime Membership Personal - Lifetime
Become a Lifetime Member of ExplorOz and you'll never have to renew your membership again! For the once only fee of $300 you’ll be saving money on annual renewals plus you’ll get your very own ExplorOz Hat, ExplorOz Shirt, ExplorOz Stubby Holders, ExplorOz Stickers and an ExplorOz Notepad.

Business Membership

This option is designed for people that wish to include information about their business activities in their Member Profile. In addition to all the features of Personal Membership, we also provide Business Members with facilities to promote their business in the ExplorOz Directory with the option of a Standard or Premium Listing. Rates are:
  • Introductory Trial 3 months: Standard $60, Premium $180

  • Annual: Standard $200, Premium $660.

We offer an Australia-wide Discount program comprised of exclusive ExplorOz Members Only offers provided by our Business Members & Advertisers. You should always carry your ExplorOz Member Card in your wallet and be able to quote your Member Number.

ExplorOz Discounts and Rewards

  • When purchasing from the ExplorOz Shop Members will automatically accrue Member Money equal to 5% of each purchase (ex postage charges). This amount is then deducted at your discretion from future shop purchases (including Membership Renewal).

  • Free Postage & Handling - Personal Members can enjoy "postage free" buying when spending over $60 in the ExplorOz Shop in a single order (applies only to products shipped by ExplorOz, excluding permits, Australia only).

  • Free Display Trader Ads - Annual Members receive credit for 1 ad per year (worth $12.95). Lifetime Members receive a credit for 5 display ads (worth $64.75) to use anytime.

  • Free Windscreen Sticker - to redeem your free sticker you need to place an order in the ExplorOz shop using your Member Profile.

  • Free ExplorOz Notepad & Bumper Sticker - sent out in the mail with your new Member card each year

  • Free Pointplace Credits - Personal Members will receive a credit for 200 points (worth $5) to use for downloading Plot files from PlotSwap.

  • 10% discount off Lifetime Membership - Existing Members will automatically save 10% off the normal fee when buying Lifetime Membership.

Online Tools

  • The Members only Home Page is accessed via a button only visible to logged-on Members. Subtle differences customise the page for individuals and Business Members. Once you have setup an auto-logon, this is the ideal page for Members to bookmark to make every visit to ExplorOz truly interactive and intuitive.

  • Member Profile is a major feature of being a Member - this is a page that you build to showcase yourself (or your business) and where people can contact you via the information you choose to display. Others can also view your Blog and Photo Gallery here. Personal Members will have a section "About Me" and their Member Statistics and two photos. Business Members will have a section showing their "Directory Listing Text" to promote their products and services, along with a street map, their logo, contact details and a link to the business website. All Members can edit their Profile page to show as much or as little information as they wish.

  • Member Messages - this is a web-based instant messaging system that does not use email. Designed for one to one message exchanges between Members only. Ideal for personal chit-chat or for exchanging information in a secure environment.

  • Blogs - all Members have a personal Blog account - a web hosted url for you to publish travel journals, files, thoughts, experiences and just about anything you want to say in public that is inappropriate for the Forum. Interaction between you and your readers is managed via a comment system (Members only).

  • Members Gallery will store 24 images at any one time in your Profile.

  • Members Trips & Gatherings is an online facility for Members to coordinate a group of people together for a trip or gathering anywhere in Australia. Auto-promoted in the Forum, and organising Member can upload a trip report and photos.

  • Members FileSwap is a section of the site for Members Only to upload, share and download utilitiy files and helpful documents.
