How to become a Member

Once you become a Member you’ll use the site with your Member Profile to access the Members Home Page where you can store photos in a photo gallery, write up Blogs for your trip reports or general thoughts, and add a Rig Pic (shown as Forum signature). As a Member, you can select other Members to converse with without using the Forum. This is done in our Member Messaging service which allows you to send notes to other Members without sharing any of your private contact details. For Members making a purchase from our online shop, you’ll earn 5% of the order value as “Member Money” to discount your next purchase, even if it’s already on discount. You’ll also be able to promote and use the organisational tools of the Members Trips & Gatherings section to get a group together and write a Trip Report after the event. All Members receive 1 Free Trader Ad voucher per year, free ExplorOz stickers, and the official ExplorOz Members Card to keep in your wallet or vehicle. Many of the businesses in our Directory also offer Discounts to ExplorOz Member cardholders.

To join up, simply use the ExplorOz online shop to pay your Membership fees or give us a call. We accept a range of payment methods. First year of Membership $50. Renewal just $30.

Processing of new membership is handled Monday - Friday during normal business hours. We'll email you a Member Logon Profile to give you access to the Member features and you will receive a laminated, personalised Membership Card by mail in a few days.

Member Money

Every item you purchase in the Adventure Shop will accrue Member Money at 5% of the product total. Member Money can be used on subsequent orders as cash discounts.

My Home

My Home is accessed from the unique Member's Log On Bar, this page is custom-built and personalised to you. Information shown is based on your last session history - containing short summaries and links to site updates in all interactive areas, site content, Directory Listings, Shop Products, view all Latest News stories. You can also perform administrative tasks such as pay the renewal on your annual Membership and modify My Profile.

My Profile

The My Profile is a major feature of My Home is that you can edit and maintain your personal details - this is totally confidential and is not accessible to anyone other than ExplorOz staff, however the information you enter here is used to auto-fill certain fields in the Forum, Shop, Trader and all interactive areas so it is imperative that all details are correct.

My Rig

My Rig enables you to upload 2 images and a description of your vehicle and/or camper/van that can be displayed in the Members Rig page (public page). Pic 1 can automatically be added to the footer of all your Forum posts if you chose (select this feature by enabling a Signature File in My Profile)

My Gallery

The Gallery allows you to upload and store 24 images at any one time in your Profile for others to view.

MyBlog

This is your personal Blog space and the limitations are almost endless as to what you can do here. You can use MyBlog as your diary, jot down your thoughts and experiences for the day or use it as a place to share files and ideas - its up to you how you wish to use it. With a wide range of tags, you can categorise each Blog Entry and you can upload photos and even file attachments. MyBlog gives you control over deciding which of your Blog entries is open for comment from others - only Members can enter a comment into another Member's Blog.

Members Trips & Gatherings

Trips & Gatherings is an online facility for Members to coordinate a group of people together for a trip or gathering anywhere in Australia. As each Gathering is configured into the system a new post in the Forum will be automatically created to promote it and at conclusion of trip the organising Member can upload a trip report and photos.

Members FileSwap

FileSwap enables you to upload, share and download utilitiy files and helpful documents submitted by other members.
