Hi ExplorOz Reader,

We hope you enjoy this week's edition of our newsletter with all the latest information and tips and news from ExplorOz.com

Tip of the Week - Did you know that you can directly share a Forum post to Facebook or Twitter? All you do is click the relevant share button shown on the page. A preview box will appear for you to customise and confirm what you're sharing.

For example, earlier this week a very interesting post was added by a truck driver explaining certain aspects of P-Bay use by caravanners and campers. It's a worthwhile read and should certainly be shared. See Thread 109410.

Last Chance to Get your Raffle Ticket - the National Gathering Raffle draw is now just 3 weeks away but for those still wanting to buy pre-sale tickets online, your last chance is COB Tuesday 30th September. You do not need to be attending the gathering to purchase tickets as we are hoping to raise as much funds as we can for the Louth RFDS clinic.

The clinic are currently trying to fund the purchase of emergency response equipment to respond to car roll overs etc. They need a pulse reading/blood pressure machine that can be attached to the finger of the patient (difficult to put elsewhere when they are in chronic pain), a pop up tent with three sides to cover them from elements & to work in privacy. They also are hoping to obtain a blood spinner. The challenge they have is that when they take blood it is often too long before it is spun & they often cannot use the sample. A baby height measurement mat is also on their needs list. These are all items that would be purchased and kept specifically in the clinic in Louth.

Bloomin' News - Native Pea flowers, members of the big Fabaceae family can be found all over the country from deserts to wet tropics. All have the characteristic pea shaped flower – as seen in Sturts Desert Pea, Rattlepods, the tropical Dragon Tree, and the many “Bacon and Eggs” shrubs with brown and yellow pea flowers, to highlight just a few.
One very different plant with pea shaped flowers has the common name of Ouch Bush – and one look at the aggressive leaves will tell you how it came to have such a name.
