Information

Two camping grounds at the historic gold mining centre in early NSW that still mines for gold and relies mainly on the tourist dollar, there is a pub. Main park in town has powered sites, 2nd camping ground about 2km out does not, both with showers - many original buildings, churches, police station, houses and stores still exist - large fossicking area and a large motel style conferencing area added during 2007-8 with restaurant. Plenty to look at while resting up for a few days, beautiful fauna in late autumn and early spring - large shopping centres at Bathurst 85km and Mudgee 70km.
