Cape York - Weipa
This route to Weipa is a popular side trip for visitors to the Cape York Peninsula. You can start the trip at either end at Archer River, or the Batavia Downs turnoff near the start of the Frenchman's Track on the Telegraph Road.
Cape York via Bypass Roads
This is an alternative route to Cape York that bypasses the challenging 4WD river crossings found on the Old Telegraph Track (OTT). The Peninsula Developmental Rd (PDR) still requires 4WD and may be closed at times during the wet season.

Expedition National Park
Expedition NP is a truly isolated wilderness park. It is only 350km from Highway 1 and 550km from Brisbane, yet it's quiet possible to have this 110,000 hectare park all to yourself, even on weekends. It's main attraction is the unique Robinson Gorge.

This track follows the Gulf of Carpentaria from Borroloola to Normanton in one of Australia's harshest outback areas. At first, it appears a dry and barren place but if you take a few side diversions you'll find gorges of paradise & rivers of barramundi.
Ka Ka Mundi - Carnarvon NP
Ka Ka Mundi is a remote section of the Carnarvon National Park and is a continuation of the Expedition NP trek note. This trek features a side trip to Wills Grave before taking in the tranquil Bunduncundoo Springs in Ka Ka Mundi.
Longreach to Innamincka
This trek starts at Longreach and travels in a south westerly direction passing through Stonehenge, Jundah and Windorah. It will take you through stunning outback Queensland and Channel Country, before ending at Innamincka in the beautiful Innamincka Regional Reserve.
This is a great 2WD bitumen North-South route through central Queensland passing several places of historical significance and some great outback pubs.

Salvator Rosa - Carnarvon NP
This trek takes you from Ka Ka Mundi to the Salvator Rosa section of the Carnarvon NP and then onto the township of Tambo. Salvator Rosa is a spectacular park of sandstone outcrops with campgrounds on the banks of the spring-fed Nogoa River.
