Sections that are closed include Jolly’s lookout, Bellbird Grove, McAfee’s lookout, Camp Mountain lookout, Boombana, Samford Forest Reserve (including Ironbark Gully and Lomandra) and Brisbane Forest Park Information Centre and Walkabout Creek Wildlife Centre.The storms caused substantial damage to a number of parks, forcing the closure of walking tracks, campgrounds and information centres.

Charlie Morelands

The Charlie Moreland to Booloumba Ck and Chalie Moreland to Mt Allan walking tracks are closed. This is due to Forest Products Queensland conducting timber harvesting operations at the base of Mt Allan and the use of heavy machinery in that area. These tracks are expected to be closed until January 2009.

The Forest Drive is closed from Funnels Hut Road to Booloumba Creek and includes Peters Creek. Access to Booloumba Falls and Booloumba View lookout remains open via Booloumba Creek Road.
