Road Conditions in QLD Coast

N. B. Recent very heavy rain caused flooding throughout the region. There is water over some roads and flooding is still present. Drive with CAUTION.

Due to recent severe weather events causing flooding and fallen trees, assessment and clean-up operations continue as a top priority in order to re-open roads, tracks, camping and visitor areas as soon as possible. Visitors and tour operators are advised that the following areas remain CLOSED:
Access to the upper Noosa River (upstream of Kinaba);
Public notices and park alerts (updated 27/02/2013)
Cooloola conditions report
Kinaba information centre;
Harrys Hut day-use area and camping (including all river and vehicle access sites);
Harry’s Hut access Road;
Upper Noosa River campsites 1–15;
Fig Tree camping and day-use area;
All walking tracks adjacent to the upper Noosa River and Kin Kin Creek catchments.
Note: Visitors are advised to exercise extreme
caution while clean-up operations continue. .

Due to recent severe weather, conditions are being assessed and repair works are continuing as a top priority to reopen camping areas, tracks and roads as soon as possible.

All camping, day use areas and walking tracks in the above listed parks and forests are closed. Rangers are working hard to make repairs and areas safe. Do not cross flooded or damaged creek crossings.
