Cooloola National Park and Rainbow Beach Area

Due to recent severe weather events causing flooding and fallen trees, assessment and clean-up operations continue as a top priority in order to re-open roads, tracks, camping and visitor areas as soon as possible. Visitors and tour operators are advised that the following areas remain CLOSED:
Access to the upper Noosa River (upstream of Kinaba);
Public notices and park alerts (updated 27/02/2013)
Cooloola conditions report
Kinaba information centre;
Harrys Hut day-use area and camping (including all river and vehicle access sites);
Harry’s Hut access Road;
Upper Noosa River campsites 1–15;
Fig Tree camping and day-use area;
All walking tracks adjacent to the upper Noosa River and Kin Kin Creek catchments.
Note: Visitors are advised to exercise extreme
caution while clean-up operations continue. .
