OziExplorer is GPS Mapping Software and is particularly suited for interactive trip planning for 4 wheel driving. OziExplorer allows you to work with maps on a computer screen that you create from scanned or purchased digital raster maps. By using these maps, OziExplorer allows you to plan your trip by creating waypoints, routes and tracks on screen and upload these to your GPS.You can also interface your computer device with your GPS for moving map display and navigational control.
OziExplorer works perfectly with the all digital Maps On Cd available in the Map section of the shop.
OziExplorer has GPS support for the Magellan, Garmin, Lowrance, Eagle and MLR GPS receivers for the upload/download of data and most makes of GPS receivers for on screen tracking of position (moving map). There are a huge array of supported digital maps that you can purchase separately including Auslig, Hema GDT, Maptrax, DEHAA, DOLA Street Express, TOPVIEW MrSID and all TIFF, BMP, JPG, PNG, BSB, ECW formats. About the only thing OziExplorer can't do is - upload maps to a GPS or display mays in vector format.
