Cape York is truly one of Australia's last frontiers and we're extremely fortunate so much of it is now reasonably accessible. It's definitely a region of diverse attractions, encompassing tropical rainforests, heathlands, beaches, island communities, reef and wild rivers. Then there are the striking sandstone escarpments that contain ancient examples of Aboriginal rock art. With an area of 115,000 square kilometres and relatively few inhabitants, the region remains incredibly remote, even though there are now a few more facilities available in more populated areas.
