This map covers 9 distinct wine grape growing regions with over 170 wine producers in Queensland. This map is designed to not only showcase and focus on the Queensland wine industry and all the wineries dotted through out the state but be a practical guide that allows enthusiast to be able to navigate their way to each cellar door.
The Queensland Wine Industry has really come of age in recent years with some of the Queensland Wineries getting National and International acclaim and awards.
Based around the Queensland state map this maps highlights the wine regions and shows where all the wineries are and at a glance indicates the wine varieties that are typical of that winery. This is done in two ways; firstly where there are only a small number of wineries these are shown directly on the Queensland state map but where there are a concentration of wineries in a region the reverse side of the map features detailed maps showing the traveller exactly how to get to each winery. Also on the reverse side there is a detailed matrix showing the wine varieties and special features for every winery all depicted region by region.
