Problems with rear grease nipple

Yesterday I helped set up the test track for next weekends 4wd show in
Queanbyan. I drove my own car as did other Prado owners, we noticed
that there was a noise coming from rear of the Prado's, but only
ones with lift kits.

We noticed that the rear grease nipple on the tail shaft and part of
the centre diff were hitting the sub-tank guard, causing minor
damage to the guard, one vehicle actually had a broken grease nipple.

I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this problem and what
they may have done to correct it.

Thanks guys
Steve

Hi my Prado did the same after a 30mm lift. I used a BIG hammer on the guard so it almost touches the tank on the rear corner, has never caught since.Ray
