I have a 2002 model Finch Outback and are thorougly happy with it.
I purchased it new almost 2 years ago for a trip to
Cairns and weekends away.
Most of our
camping is done at bush camps around the State Parks of the Murray River, State Parks around
Mansfield high country,
Walhalla, ect and I have found it handles the dirt roads and corrigations without any problems. The reason I bought the Outback model was for the higher ground clearance and heavier chassis to handle the dirt roads and corrigations to get to the decent bush camps. We normally set up a base camp and then 4WD from there.
I think it just depends what you want to do with it off road, I would take it down tracks like the
Birdsville & Oonaddatta Tracks without any hesitation, but leave the hard core treks to the specialist camper trailers.
The camper is a good size for 2 adults and a couple of dogs or kids.
Are you after any specific information?
