G'day Willem
I think your new pic may have superceded the dune pic. I could not see the dune pic - only the '58 datto. What was the model called?
Did Reg Sprigg drive a simialr vehicle over the Simpson & Tanami with his family, or was it a 'Yota?
Have you read Griselda Sprigg's book? Can highly recommend it.
Will raise the issue of the Beltana
plaque & J. Mc Douall Stuart NOT utilising camels shortly, at committee level, but I do not expect any action for Noel. There are many discrepancies & errors re Stuart all over Aus. One of the most notable is on Stuart's statue in the Mall in
Darwin, on that patch of lawn. Do you know where I mean?
Kind regards
I have fond memories of driving a G60, with crash on 1st gear, for 3 years. Wasn't an issue, actually, at the time. Rick ( S.A.) - ' All things considered there are only two kinds of men in the world - those who stay at home and those who do not '

G'day Rick,
I can send you the dune pic if you would like to see it.
According to Truckster this vehicle was a F60. It had the same motor size in as mine 3956cc but was a side valve engine.
Reg Sprigg drove Landrovers as far as I know.. Have read the book yet but will when I get the chance.
Yep I know where JMcDS stands in
Darwin, arm outstretched, pointing south, I think. What was the discrepancy there?
My G60 has a 5speed box albeit a tad noisy. Doesn't make much difference to the fuel consumption though:-)
