Hitec Suspension

Submitted: Tuesday, Feb 03, 2004 at 16:43

Groove

Hi All,
The shocks and springs on my GU are due for replacement so I thought I would give it a bit of a lift as well (3 inch).

My mechanic highly recomends Hitec suspension for the job. He is an avid 4 wheel driver and swears by them, he gives his cruiser a bit of a workout.

Has anyone had any experience with this brand.

Cheers.

Hi Groove,

I've never heard of Hitec, but I am in QLD. Have a bit of a look into Dobinson, I'm running Dobinson on my Patrol and it's great, there are 3 different levels of springs, light duty, heavy duty and extreme. I'm currently running heavy duty and have had them in for 1 year. You can put a trailer plus 750kg's and not sag in the rear. Ride is fairly comfortable, not like the standard ride, but you have to expect that for aftermarket lifted springs. Another freind of mine with 6 inch springs (different breed) and around the same time of install has sagged to the same height of mine.

Happy hunting!

Cheers.
