Bob

Are Mark/Goran/Trevor/George/Antonio all the same person? Yep. Nice one Stephen to spot the link. I wonder how many were sucked in by this little one man campaign against LandRover? Now that the lie has been exposed could we move on to some more constructive discussions please?

Well spotted Bob. I would question if Mark/Goran/Trevor/George/Antonio and Craig Carter/Mal/Ronnie are the same person. Of this lot, only Goran has posted so another would receive their email address. It seems much of the LR discussion is invalid and part of someones agenda to me.

Yeah, Ronnie is definitely one of him too. Maybe Mick, Bill (not Church), and Dateman (how did you get a name like that, Dateman? Don't bother telling us) will have to develop a prejudice against something else because every Land Rover tale of woe on this list has been fabricated. I reckon the forum administrators should turf the guy responsible. Maybe we should have a spot the Goran clone contest.

Goran replied:

Bob , i dont know about all this people you are talking about and this supposed conspiracy , but all i posted is from my personal experience.
I think it's lot easier for you and fellow Landover...:-)....owners to beleive any conspiracy than to open your eyes and see what a vast majority of 4x4 owners in this country allready know. The only thing exposed here is a number of fooled 4x4 owners stuck with a British bag of bolts that will cost them a fortune to run. It is interesting to read some of yours and Stephens post , as not much of any value has come from you apart from constant insults and general display of stupidity.

I have done some analysis on the databases and these people are all using different email addresses (most of which are valid). Can we all please get over this and move forward. We do not want to rubbish people's vehicle choice and we also do not want to lose users of the system. The forum is open to everyone so please use it correctly. If a question is really insulting or upsetting please either let us know or ignore it.As a special note it appears that we have reduced the number of incorrect email addresses being used - thanks everyoneDavid

Bill Church replied:

Ok, this is REALLY getting beyond a joke.

Here's how to handle this, and it's not hard. If someone, ANYONE, has eroded their credibility on this or ANY forum by spurious or useless posts, either IGNORE them or REFUSE to be stirred up by them. Remember that electronic media is the easiest way to destroy our credibilty. I don't know about some of you, but I use the same name on every forum I post to, so that I can be recognised. I would expect that if I posted stupidly on one forum, I would be ignored on another.

Basically, if the post is obviously designed to inflame heated debate, just IGNORE it. Let the useful, helpful posts get the most replies, not those that are a waste of time. Bill

Is that you "Winaje" from the Overlander forum?

Read it again. You mistook what was written. We know you aren't Goran. We know you drive a Prado, and that you never owned a Pajero.

Hey Goran, I'm no fan of L/R either, but that's an opinion not a reason for world war 3. The evidence is undisputable that the vast majority of L/R owners are happy/overjoyed with their trucks, and there can be no question that are an extremely capable vehicle, or the 40,000,000 owners around the world would let us all know. So you don't like them, we don't care!!! You've said your bit, now give it a rest and get a life.
Happy trails, Mike.

PS. This in no way implies that I like the critters!

I smiled a lot when I realized what had happened on this thread. I actually do have quite a full and satisfying life which involves quite a lot of smiling. Unlike you, I suspect quite a few people were amused to discover the scam being perpetrated on the list. If you bother to read and contribute to a list like this then the veracity of postings should concern you too.
