I travelled with a group DOWN Googs in 2001 - there are two or three sandhills at the top that are quite sharp and difficult. I towed a HD off road camper trailer with my 99 diesel jackaroo - needed a bit of practice and a couple of runs, but then ok. Below this top bit, the track is hilly but ok. We were glad that we went DOWN because people trying to go UP had cut holes in the south faces of the hills (probably due to poor tyre pratice in sand). Going up, with a trailer, through those deep holes would have been a real barrier to me I think - broken suspension may have been the result - we had to take it easy coming down over these holes. Suggest you talk to the parks people at Ceduna, prior to going.

We went up the track in May 2000 with one of the group towing a camper trailer behind a GQ Patrol without any problems. Did it all a bit too quickly though and would make it a leisurely trip with an overnight camp if I did it again.

went south - north in nov last year in a fully loaded troopy. should be no sweat for you. gps was useful when negotiating the myriad of side tracks around the lakes. i used the westprint map which was reasonable.
