Submitted: Monday, May 06, 2002 at 00:00

Scott

Can anyone suggest the best suspension setup for IFS 4runner?
A lot of people are using Rancho RS 9000??
Also has anyone got any feed back on Sourthern cross suspesion ( i'm not sure on the exact name ) they are based around the Oaks or Oakdale area south west of sydney i think?

HI,SCOTT I HAVE A 4RUNNER AND HAVE TRYED 6 DIFFERENT SPRING/SHOCKIE SET UPS OVER THE LAST YEAR. I NOW HAVE KINGS SPRINGS PART #KTPR-68 IN THE REAR, RANCHO SHOCKS PART#RS5159 ON THE FRONT AND RANCHO SHOCKS PART#5208 ON THE REAR.LEAVE ORIGINAL TORSION BARS ON, MAYBEE WIND UP TO SET FRONT SUSPENSION HALF WAY BETWEEN BUMP STOPS,HIGHER DOES NOT HELP ,YOU LOOSE WHEEL TRAVEL.THIS SET UP LIFTS THE CAR ABOUT 2-3 INCHES AND WORKS REALY GOOD OFF ROAD WITH LOTS OF WHEEL TRAVEL AT THE BACK.

i had a 4runner also, ran 3" body lift in it with oem springs and rancho shocks, allowed me to run 33" tyres and gave good offroading, have a look at the pic @ www.ausjeepoffroad.com in the gallery in friends section, the silver 4runner.
