Electric brake conversion on indipendant

I have a 1980 Maletrail poptop with the Symonds Knee
suspension. I have decided to convert the hydraulic brakes to electric as the mild steel brake lines were looking a bit worse for wear.
I have done a fair bit of investigation on this
forum and it seems there are plenty of hardware options available for the conversion however I am wondering if there are any things to watch out for when changing to electric brakes on a chassis with Symonds Knee
suspension?
My tow vehicle is a VF Calais which I am having fitted with a TEKONSHA P3 Prodigy controller as I am reading good reports on it.
I am open for suggestions and/or recommendations.
