Mixed reports, do a search on google and even this site will come back

Advantages

Apparent lower maintenance cost that honda
Pure sine wave (almost) and same as honda.
Economical and long run time.
Very light.
Fuel petcock enables transit inside vehicle.
Can start and run a half horse airconditioner (just). Not all halfs draw same power so compare before your buy is this is what you want to do.

Disadvantages.

Price.
Not whisper quiet. (apparantly tad quiter than Honda) but 88 dbA at the exhaust is NOT quiet by any standard.

I have one and its horses for courses. I think you can get the same 'quietness' or 'loudness' if you prefer from a Bunnings $198 jobby.

Hope this helps. sometimes cheaper is better for your use. Those that spend more money chasing quality sometimes only achieve that.

Sean are those Bunnings generators any good.
I saw them on Saturday for $198 but did not have time to stop and look
I prefer 4 stroke but do not need a generator for a lot of use

Bought a Bunnings $198 generator last Wednesday, returned it Thursday. Soooooo noisy you couldn't camp within 50 metres of it!

they quote 60dB on the box which would be reasonably quiet
obviously the specs are wrong on the box
