Ray ,I have one of the gen sets ,,," scorpion " ,, it takes considerable force to spread the 12v plug to fit into the 240v outlet,,,that said ,also only takes 15min to change the 12v outlet onthe genny to a hella/anderson/britax ect socket.

I went to repco up here in Brisbane the other day to ask them about this recall and was told that there is no recall as the guy in Victoria that zapped himself had modified the 12 volt plug to fit so it wasn't the fault of the generator. You would have to be a bit of a goose to force the 12v plug into the 240 outlet.

Being a generator manufacturer myself, we found that we could land a container of these in sydney, all expenses including gst for $99au each!
The problem is they expect 1 out of three to be faulty and not work, this is the standard quality control from China.
All generator manufacturers struggled for a while when these went on the market, as Honda products are more expensive to manufacture, but all come with 2 year world wide warranty, and you can get spare parts in any town of Australia, this is what keeps our products selling.

No, only in the 4wd monthly, overlander, and fishn mags.
We have resellers Australia wide, so there is no need to advertise everywhere, as we are so busy at present anyway.
Thanks Mick Christie
