Pete and I have travelled (from NSW) to WA so many times over the past 8 years but always in winter and the weather in the S.W Aust. has been diabolical! We are fairly strenuous 4x4 drivers but yet we have never spent much time there.
So we have decided this Year to head to the South West area (basically between
Esperance and
Albany) in Feb/March and would love some input re. the best beaches and National Parks you all know of.
We may make it up to Margaret River, but have been there a number of times before, this trip is more about experiencing the remote NPs on our way.

If experiencing S/W beaches, please, please, please be aware that the Great White shares these beaches as
well.
If you're crossing through SA via the Nullarbor, Give
Yalata beaches ago, Coombra Beach in fact. Pristine, great on shore big game fishing and in the middle of know where and extremely hot in those months, approx 30 km's of sand track off the hwy where the GAB starts in SA, then you'll hit the Minni Sahara dunes then
the beach.

Most is easy, just pick the right path. Beware of tide surges when on
the beach.
It is Aboriginal land so you may need a day pass. There is also a few other things to do in the area, deep under ground caves for example.
Below is a link that gives all information about the area.

Enjoy your trip.
