G'day, I can't answer your question, but I have a question for you, why is it illegal? Just curious..................

If you were to take your box with you (incl the card) and a dish, and you had power, it would work, once you got a fix on the satellite. You can buy satellite finders from eBay fairly inexpensively.

If you are not inclined to remove the dish from your house, a visit to the local tip/recycle centre will probably give you a good result. Make sure you get that cylindrical thing that comes out from the dish. I got mine from there.

I pay my monthly rental, so I figure I can watch it wherever and whenever I like. If Rupert has difficulty with that, he can come over and tell me why. Tragicallly, there are decoders/dishes that use one dish that give you access to all of Foxtel and Free To Air, but these seem to be available to licensed technicians only. But if anyone has one, you have my attention :)

I have a nephew who has four Foxtel decoder boxes, for him and his mates, and pays one rental fee. They are used at 3 other locations than that agreed to.
Splits the fee 4 ways with the mates – I would have gone in on the scheme but he had used his quota.

Rules, conditions and agreements etc aside, does anyone know why they say that you can't take it out of your place? Blowed if I can think of a reason.

We have Foxtel in the van but not via the foxtel decoder. Download Foxtel Go application the enter your username and password and you will have foxtel. No need for a satellite dish, you can watch anywhere you have an internet connection. It does not use data.
We don't have a Foxtel account, I use my SIL's, you can have 5 connections to each account.

If your topbox is the HD box using two cables to the dish you need a dual LNB. If you are going to run a Vast box as well you'll need three connections. The next LNB is the quad as they don't make a triple LNB. Some contracts are supplying all FTA through the Foxtel service.

Search well enough and you will find a dish. Plenty on roofs not being used and some only too willing to let you remove not wanting them.

Yeah apps need coverage where the dish works anywhere it can get clear view to the sat.

Yep..just wouldn't be a holiday if we couldn't get Foxtel ...

I just cant figure out why you'd bother leaving home . Your on a trip or a holiday. Enjoy the difference between it and sitting on your bum at home glued to the TV...
I was offered free Foxtel but declined...theres enough junk on tv as it is and we spend way too long watching the idiot box now. Let alone sitting in front pf a computer screen.
