self inflating mattress with non-standard dimensions

Hello all,

I've bought a DMH Oberon tent with inner dimensions of (head, body, legs) 90x132x60 and now I'm trying to find a self-inflating mattress that will be no less than 80cm in the widest part and preferably be the same shape (umm, like a coffin?) as the tent. I've found a couple, but they are all smaller (and I need it to sleep 2 people).

I'd appreciate any ideas or suggestions on where to look or if you know of a mattress that I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Bernie,

I did think about combining 2 mattresses, but I'd prefer to try and find a single one that would cover at least 80% of the area or so.

Thanks for the thought though!

Dennis I would be spooky sleeping on one of those give you the feeling of what its like to be in the box.
I made my own matteres bought 35mm medium density foam and 25 light density foam glued them together and covered, they roll up pretty small.

Just a thought

Why would it feel spooky, Eric? The self-inflating mattresses are light-weight and roll down to a decent size (the ones that I saw at least), and they are about 15mm high, so they provide pretty good insulation from the ground.

You do have a valid point though, because naturally it would be easier (and cheaper!) to make my own mattress. I'll have to give this serious thought - could you tell me what glue you used to hold them together?

Thank you!
