You'll find you'll have to purchase the maps - for example Hemas Great Desert Tracks, NatMap's 250k (whole of Aust at 1:250,000 scale) etc.

First point of call you could look at the CD maps at the "Shop" on this site.

Glenn – OziExplorer is used by many individuals/groups/companies for just a tad more than *ank value – Bit like 4WD’s…I suppose the rating you give it is based on your perceptions and requirements – Anyway…If you’re chasing decent scale/quality digital maps for download don’t expect to much for free - as suggested previously you'll have to fork out a few dollars. The ExplorOz site is obviously a good start and also the OziExplorer website provides a few links to on-sellers of digital maps…

There are lots more sites. You'll have to search for them. However most downloadable maps of any detail or quality will be for purchase only. You have to remeber that a lot of work goes into map preparation and the publishers expect a return on there efforts.
