BFG Tyres Report

The Banjo

For those inclined.......just took the first set of BFG's AT's off the Jack at 81000. 245/70/16 - They did about 10% gravel road travel in far northern SA and Central Oz ... I don't get into extreme terrain though .... towed the camper on all of those trips....never had a flat.....they'll do me.....new set now on ($255 F&B Adelaide). Still had some usable tread on the face but the shoulders were getting smooth - pressures a bit too low of course, but with their 'boney' ride, was looking to soften that a little. - This set will ride 38 front - 40 rear to fix the wear issue on the blacktop - gravel will see a reduction of about 8-10 psi.

Banjo,

What size did you go for.
I just put a new set of Bridgstone AT Duellers 694's (replace the 693's)
on the jack, in the 265/70R16.
Just came back from a 1000km trip doing soft sand/mud/rock,
excellent!

Stockies - 245/70 R16 - wanted to stay with BFG's - costs and the same wheel diameter were factors (already had one unused spare to match up with too). Only option was going to be mud pattern, but life is shorter and the noise issue can't be denied (even BFG fess up to this on their site).
