Series 1 had:
4.2 NA and later Turbo Dielsel
4.5 Petrol
2.8 Diesel (Turbo Intercooled)
Series II was release March 2000
2.8 dropped
3.0 ZD30 release
All 4.2 came Turbo'd
New Grill and a change to rear panhard rod
Series III
4.5 Dropped 4.8 Petrol Release
Front Indicators/grill/ rear non working taillights changed to a chrome looking ones. Engine changes for the ZD30 to fix previous problems. After about 2-3months of the Series III , they stopped fitting Steel wheels to 'st' patrols instead fitting Alloy. Reason, Early GU wheels cracked and the newer design was worth more than the Alloy. Only STEEL wheel available were on the DX wide Wheel pack andthe Utes.
Unoffical Series IV was introduced when the 4.2 got the intercooler and bonnet scoop. This also saw new interor trim, second ciggy lighter.
Hope This Helps.
My advice, steer clear of a Series II if looking at ZD30 patrols, and try and buy as later model as you can.
