We have the same vehicle and find that by travelling at 100k/hr the car is reving at about 3000 RPM.
The motor seems be happy at this speed and we get to see more of the country side.
BTW when our speedo indicates 100 the
GPS indicates 105. I think our
tyres are 31 inches in diameter which may explain the error.
We travelled from
Perth to
Canberra and return, towing a trailer and travelling at 90 to 100. Average fuel consumption was 13 l/100k.

thanks Scooby. Yeah, i had pretty much decided to simply stick to below 100km/h but i was just wondering what the other options were. i too have 31inch
tyres and i reckon it would become a bit of a hassle fitting
tyres that were any bigger as they might come into contact with the guards etc. I doubt very much that it would be worth altering the difs and to stay below 100 as you suggest is probably the way to go.
