Just make sure you have heaps of adjustment in it, it will be pretty hard to get the positioning mm perfect. Plus wear etc

Yeah Trailer stubs are the go. Heaps of us Rangie guys cut the flange off a hub and weld the bearing housing straight onto or into the rear bar. I have cut part of the flange off mine and welded it to a plate which I bolt to my rear bar.

Here is not mine. Rob hasn't used a trailer stub but you get the idea Robs rangie

I don't really like the way that Rob latches his carriers in, there is nothing really pulling them forward. Though, he hasn't had a problem, the friction seems to be enough.
