Digi Photo's - FYI

Submitted: Thursday, Jul 01, 2004 at 09:24

Rod W

Just had two photos that I took with me 5mg Sony 707 camera, which is always set at the max resolution, printed at a Digi Print Shop to the 30" x 20" (for you young'ins thats 75cm x 50cm) size, and they have come up absolutely mickey mouse, no pixilation whatsoever.
I normally print me photo's at home in either A4 or A4 panoramic sizes, but these two photos were screaming at me "we would look better bigger" and they were right.

Digital cameras are just getting better all the time. I'd say just about as good as film now, regarding picture quality, and a heap more flexible. Haven't used my 35mm SLR since I got my Canon A70 a few months back.

Yep. One is of the single Salmon Gum at sunset from the Clampton trip and the other is the Relfections on the Blackwood from the D'Entrecasteaux National Park trip.

So have many have you got for the run on Sunday?

7 Confirmed so far. At least everyone will have no problem keeping up and their will be plenty of people to tow my IFS 4wd out, because according to the "experts" I will have to go very slowly and won't be able to do any serious 4wding. LOL
Bunch of Bushwackers....
But seriously, looking forward to it, wish we would get some more heavy rain though!! Should be a laugh.

youll find that with a pic taken at full resolution the picture of the size you mentioned is actually reduced in dimensional size. Ive got a 5 meg sony as well and have 2 posters on my wall A1 size [84x59cm] and i had to reduce them before getting them printed, crystal clear no loss of quality whatsoever
