Mike did you get a permit? We did it last year and the track was overgrown on the north end and more used at the South end. Be careful that you don't get lost if you come down it as there are many tracks out of Numerary. You can miss the
gate out of Nunerary to go down the track. The
gate is just a mallee gap and is easily missed if you miss it you will follow the fence on the west side and it will head you west to the Hale River, if you start veering west you have gone past the
gate. The
gate is at 24'08'06 S ans 135'41'39 E. The Hema
Simpson Desert map will show you the track and where it enters the reserve. There were signs there last year but had been on the ground for a long time. We did not see a suol for the whole track.

No I haven't received a permit yet but I am Hopefull.
Did you have a permit ? and if so how did you go about talking the NLC into giveing you one?
