McIntyres Hut

Mungo

Am interested in visiting McIntyres Hut soon, having not been there since before the fires. Wondering what the current status of the area is ie. is it open and is the track ok - anything to be wary of. Would also welcome any tips on preferred routes.

Thanks,
Mungo

I was there on sunday, hut was good and track was no worries, I would'nt go there in the rain or snow, it would take some serious effort to get back up the hill.

If you look in the trip reports on Overlander forum, recent canberra trip you will see pics of the area.

We were in the area on Sunday as well, tracks were good. But head the warning re snow or rain, make for a totally different experience.

There is snow/rain predicted for the next few days and a possibility of more on the weekend. Just check with BOM before you go!!
