Teddy Bears Picnic.......

Submitted: Sunday, Sep 05, 2004 at 16:46

Lone Wolf

Well, what a good turnout! 30 odd people? over 2 nights.

Steve ( Pesty ) did a TOP JOB in organising this event.

Lot's of EO people turned up, and it was good to put some faces to names at long last.

Again, this forum has proved invaluable in allowing both me & Tracy to meet fellow EO members.

( Tracy wasn't too sure at first..........."Ian, you mean to say we are camping with people you've only met on the internet?" Is this wise? What if one of them is a .............. )

I am sure others will post either here or on the other forum as to what they got up too.

I just simply wanted to thank Steve & Glenda ( & others, I am sure ) and the Murray Bridge 4 x 4 Club, for a wonderful weekend.

And............ EO for making it possible to bring this good crew together..........

Cheers

Tracy & Ian

I was not sure what to expect, having no details about anyone or anything - Ian didn't give me much information.
Now after meeting everyone I think they are a great bunch of people. I had a great time. The campsite, excellent fire, competitions and the '4wd trek' made for a good weekend. Thank you to all.

Actually, don't know much about ANYTHING really!

Wolfie might need to change that sig now. His Delica went everwhere the big boys went, and with ease.

Thanks to Pesty for puting this event together, a huge thanks to the Murray Bridge 4WD Club, especially John. My car went to places I never thought possible with a little guidance from John in particular.

Awesome to see Camper's Challenger lifting the back wheel about 500mm and still keep moving.

A great bunch of people each and everyone ,my kids had a ball with the Roachie clan, looking forward to the next one.

Just returned from Camp X-Ray where the Teddy Bears were incarcerated!

What a great week end. Good bunch of internet people (no pedo's or murderers!).

Extended the Prado's range of capabilitites. Helped Stu and Wolfie demolish the red wine until I was kicking over quite nicely on Sat night!

Many thanks to Pesty and Glenda for organising the event and bringing two tonnes of firewood to keep us all toasty warm. Special thanks to John and the crew from Murray Bridge 4WD club for hosting us.

Look forward to the next EO gathering - roll on Robe!

Wolfie & Tracy,
It sure was a great weekend.....we can always tell if our kids have had a great time; they fall asleep on the way home!!!
Like the others have said, thanks very much to Pesty, Glenda, John and Suzette for all their hard work to make our weekend such a pleasure.
Pesty didn't pray hard enough to the rain gods on Friday/Saturday, but we'll forgive him.
Our kids had a great time with the others there, especially Alex, Nick, Sarah and Jessica.
There are some photos kicking around somewhere of the Brewman asleep at the helm with an empty bottle of red wine laying upon his chest.......hahahaha
Muddy was also cat-napping most of the evening....shame, Muddy, shame!!! LOL
We'll catchya all at the next get together.

Yep!
We were only able to make it for the Sunday but had a great time relaxing by the campfire and yarning about everything to do with camping & 4WD.
Not only did we wag the Challa's rear wheel in the air but we dumped it on a big rock when we did the 4WD course which was great. (The course not the rock)
Thanks to everyone for the hospitable welcome and especially to Pesty for the organising.
Cheers,
Camper
