I own a MQ diesel and is doing the same thing lucky for me i work with diesel machanics they told me that the injectors aren't operating properly in the
cold mornings (it doesn't happen in the summer) there spray patern is uneven and the droplets are to big, and with a
cold diesel engine they don't burn properly wich causes the white smoke and running ruff until it all clears and the injectors work better. the glow plugs are another thing that will cause this and more than likely if the smoke clears up and goes black when under load or changing through the gears. So don't forget that white smoke is unburn diesel fuel and blue smoke is oil burning i hope all this makes sense and helps
also there is a lot more to be told about this problem what i have said is rather quick and simple.
