The Wilson R. runs roughly between Eromanga & Noccundra & peters out towards the Cooper. In times of heavy flow it would "overflow" to Cooper Crk.
Not far from
the Dig Tree there's a station "Nappa Merrie" on the Cooper.
I'd bet that's the place your looking for.
There's a fairly colourful bloke by the name of Alf "Bomber" Johnston lives at Nappa Merrie, looks a bit like Bruce Ruxton, and Bomber will often be seen out at
the Dig Tree with his dog.
It's still a long way from the dog fence.
