Dave

Hi What type of shockies do you recommend for a 1995 Jackaroo. Its mainly used on road and for towing a boat.

Hi Dave .... I have a 2000 Monterey and am planning on putting in Rancho RS9000's. They are 5 way adjustable, with the number 5 setting being 800% harder than the number 1 setting. You can therefore dial up different settings for different uses. A number of Trooper owners in the US set them to 2 or 3 all round for onroad and 4 or 5 for towing. They are easy to install yourself on a 'roo and are $750 for the four including delivery from www.rancho.com.au.

Dave,
I have just parted with a 99 Mod Hilux that I had Rancho 5000 series non adjustable shocks on the front and Rancho 9000's adjustables on the rear. I cannot reccomend a better shock for IFS type 4wd's than the Rancho. I went adjustable only on the rear as that is the "end" that gets the huge difference in load weights. The front remains constant.
