G'day Dog,
The only way to get grease into the shackles if you don't have grease nipples is to pull the apart - Grease - Reasemble.........
I sujest that you go down to the local 4x4
shop and buy some Greaseable shackles though....
You can buy them seperately without the spring kit. They are a great idea and will quite down your
suspension considerably.
Failing that.....buy a can of "Spray" Lithium Grease,....make sure it is the "Lithium" type as it is waterproof and won't wash off.
It comes in a pressure pack can with a small plastic tube to get into tight
places. When you first spray it, it is very thin, almost like water, then after a few seconds it thickens up.
Spray a bit between the spring leafs as well.
If you are really keen you could also put some powdered graphite between the spring leafs as well (mind you , this is no easy task).
One more option is to use nylon or nolothane bushes.
Cheers
John
