Drew,
I have one - only criticism is that it is heavy - too heavy for me to lift in and out of the fourby when full - but of course that is a function of size. I leave it secured in the car. Got into trouble with SWMBO when I froze some tomatoes which were in the
fridge section when running it on high during a long drive - figured I would save on battery when we stopped.
Beer was great though.
I run mine from the camper battery. Installed heavy cable and Anderson plug going to connect the camper and had the auto lec install plug in vehicle using that wiring to avoid loss of power.
I think mine was a bit under $1500 at Olbis in
Brisbane.
Why did I buy one? Because my old Engel is still going after 18 years and I needed a bigger unit with both
fridge and freezer. Doesn't mean the current model is better than the old one but you feel comfortable buying on experience. I could have just bought another smaller unit and use the old one and it as
fridge freezer combo but figured that needs too much space and power.
