Al & Mrs Al (Vic)

Hi everyone,

we're back home safe and sound, and had a great weekend, thanks to everyone who made it enjoyable, great to catch up with old friends and new, also, big thanks to Rick for leading the group on the run from Robe to Beachport it was a fantastic day, thanks to Des Lexic for helping provide the entertainment for a great night on Sat night for the birthday peoples, and of course Uncle for the great Worm story.

I hope kids were not traumatised by the Halloween antics, but I have a feeling I might be if some pics of me in my outfit turn up [which I'm sure they will] I'm certain there will be reports floating about, and I'm sure links will be posted...

cheers all

Lyn

We too made it home safe and sound, picked a great day for driving, rained lots of the way home, great for the Cup. Had a great time meeting all other EO members.

Andrew I hope there wasn't any injuries from Imogen tackling you to the ground hahahahaha

ALSO The way I see it the NISSANS WON THE WEEKEND.

Scorecard:
Nissans stranded = 1 (JohnR- well done John!)
Toyotas stranded = 3 (Muddy - will we ever forget Jen's radio comment? This is serious guys you better come back - Eric, Valiant in defeat he beached himself after extracting johnR -see above- and Brian (a Non EO Prado I just *HAD* to include to make the scorecard better balanced!))

Cya's all soon.

Bonz,

You are so wrong. The Tojos and the Datos fought out second place.

Hyundai was the winner, none bogged. LOL

Great weekend.

Cheers,

Jim.

Bonz Mate,

With everyone there and all the action I didn't get to meet Wombat.

Was he the bloke with the Challenger and the magnificent van? That sure was something. Talk about luxury, I thought my camper was civilised but that van was like the Taj Mahal.

Envious bugger me.

Cheers,

Jim.

Thanks for the nomination Bonz - I was stoked wirh how easily the Triton handled everything we threw at it, especially on the Monday jaunt.

Sorry we didn't catch up for a chat Jimbo, looks like we'll all have to do it again just to remedy that situation!

Fantastic to hear that everyone got home safely in what turned out to be less than ideal travelling conditions.

And, special thanks to those who organised a very enjoyable long weekend.

Hi Lyn,

What a magnificent weekend, and even though I am no longer a member due to other circumstances, I had a wonderful time meeting others who get a kick out of this site, and meeting up as a group. With 35 plus attendees, it is going to be fun trying to type up trip notes....assistance may required from others.

I would like to thank Eric and yourself for organising the weekend, Rick, Pesty and Willem for being such great trip leaders, and of course Al and yourself for letting James and I in your truck as passengers.....I was very sad that I couldn't drive this weekend.

Thanks also to all who attended, and made the weekend such a memorable one. I am hoping to get the trip notes completed and on 4wdadventureoz by the end of the week, but as the Tambo camper trailer is due to be picked up this week, that may not be possible.

Cheers

Sweetie,

Member or not, who cares? It was a wonderful weekend and it was the people who made it great, membership has nothing to do with the quality of those who participated.

I still find you attractive with or without your membership LOL.

My fondest regards,

Jim.

so i am guessing that a certain jeep wrangler (non-watercooled!?) was the loser that weekend and maybe some other sillies that like full tyre pressure anmd low range (oops soz muddy secrets out lol).

And remeber that on S.A beaches white patrols with nobs driving flat out towards a 9 car line have right of way even if there flashing lights arent working.

great weekend

Maaaaaa,

Have some bewitching piccies of the evenings entertainment. Was a great time all around so we have lots to remember and get the names to faces now too, even with the green teeth and wonky nose.

I am sure The Als could not have been trying hard seeing they didn't get bogged anywhere. Look forward to seeing you folks this way in a few weeks but no mud or sand I guess that weekend.
