G'day Eric

Well, thanks for organising the weekend. Pity you arrived 2 days late as we might have even got you bogged before the Sunday Mega Bog.... LOL

Until next time.

Yes many thanks to Eric for the organising/kick off/get us started.

My first sand driving run was a real good introduction. It had a bit of everything.

Thanks to my recovery crew on Monday who rescued the Prado hanging from the side of the track after I suffered from slight "directional problems" after bouncing the IFS front end a bit too hard!

Bonz, Warren L, Big Kidz, and Milney and others all sweated with me to pull the beast back from the brink of dissater under the able direction of Pesty who orchestrated a simultaneous front and rear winching (between two Toyotas thankfully!).

A gallery of many looked on from the surrounding dunes and provided encouragement! I am sure some of the many photos that were being taken will appear on here in due course.

Thanks also to the guys in the following group for their assistance which we promptly re-payed 200 yards up the track when one of their number got stranded in the soft stuff a bit close to the tidal influence!

A great weekend had by me and the rest of the crew I am sure!!!

Cheers

ExplorOz Team - David replied:

Eric,

OK - I hear you I will adjust the Trip/Gatherings system to allow more pics for the reports. Sounds like it was a great event. I will make the adjustments tomorrow so do not publish till it is done. Drop me an email prior to uploading the report and I will let you know that I have made the changes (it will also remind me to do it if I forget).

Take care.

Thank YOU! Eric

Deirdre and I had a great time and finally met a heap of other E-OZ'S that now enables me/us to put a face to a name/nic.

I didn't have time to take pics, too busy assisting with that extraction from 'the normandy beach head' on Sunday morning. Still sleeping the effects of same off. LOL.

Eric and everybody,

Millny and I had a great time - pity we weren't there before Sunday afternoon. Still it was fun to give the troopy a bit of a work out, and use the winch to help Muddie.

Like everyone else we enjoyed putting faces to names - it pays to know who you are giving cheek to.

I'm really sad that we missed meeting Willem, however I saw Eric's photo of Ruth, so now I believe she exists!! (Sorry Ruth, but we did miss meeting you!).

Roll on the next trip/gathering, we'll be there!

Cheers

Oops sorry Andrew, I would hate to give offence! It was indeed a photo of a gorgeous slender blonde babe with the apron. I don't know, it must have been the sun!
