Flinders Rangers

Midge

Just spent 5 wonderful days exploring the Flinders Rangers which changed my attitude of the area. We always thought the area was to commercial and over populated. This time we spent all of our time on the private tracks on a couple of stations, the first one being Willow Springs where we drove the Skytrek route which was very good. We found best value for money was on Warraweena Station, we camped there 2 nights and done 2 off the tracks, the Cockatoo Dunbar Loop was excellent, the hardest track was closed so we will keep that one for next time. $10 per person per night sounds expensive for bush camping, but worth every cent, no extra charge for the drives camping areas have long drop toilets and there are showers up near the homestead if you need them. Not many people around at all. Warraweena well recommended.

Midge....

I too have just returned from the Flinders, and my love affair has been rekindled.
The NPWS are now $11.00 for bush camping, so your $10.00 is good value.

Top spot, I'm going back in a couple of weeks.

Cheers

Wolfie
