rengatt

just got a call from the missus telling me that I have received a recall letter from Holden recalling the Frontera due to prblems with the steering system. If you have a Frontera and you have not received the letter let me know and I will forward a copy to you.

Don't try the link ... just go to www.recalls.gov.au.

That site doesn't allow you to link straight to a specific record.

It's a very good site to check from time to time.

Aside from vehicles, you never know what you may have at home that's subject of a recall. It's all too easy to miss the newspaper ads on those.

Had a bit of a read through of some of the other recalls ... Toyota's recall on the Camry and Avalon makes for interesting reading, just like the Frontera recall.

All Nissan Patrols from 99-2003 have had an ongoing recall for engine management system upgrades and oil circulation problems. Aparently they have had a lot of engine self destruction problems and subsequent rebuilds. Nissan Australia are not sure of the causes however are rebuilding heaps of the 3 litres.

Don't post unsubstantiated rubbish, please. There has never been a recall on this matter. Problems with some engines, yes, recall NO.
